OPTITOOL Map4 is a browser-based viewing tool, which enables the seller to retrieve the current planning status and provide customers with detailed information. As an additional tool, the seller’s view, together with the dispatching tool OTEE, rounds out an enterprise’s logistics solutions and guarantees an uninterrupted information chain.

The application is executed in the browser and therefore does not require installation on the client system. Through direct access to the data via the server, no delays occur and sellers can view the current planning status at any time. This enables undisturbed work by the dispatcher, since the seller can inform customers about the corresponding orders and delivery details without further inquiries.

In addition to information relevant to planning, the user of OPTITOOL Map4 will also be provided with actual data of the vehicle fleet, if required. Via a connection of the vehicles, e.g. by GPS over IP, i.e. over the internet, vehicle fleet data are transferred in real time. The seller also has the opportunity of viewing where a vehicle is positioned at a particular moment, and also if there are any delays in deliveries. In addition to the position, other information may be displayed as well, such as the speed or certain events, e.g. emergency stops or suspension of delivery.

The connection of the vehicles for displaying position and other information is performed via an interface between OPTITOOL and the corresponding provider of on-board devices.
